Since it relates to it being brought up in several ways in music, how do you feel about monogamy %26amp; commitment? I saw it being discussed on television by celebrities, not that I%26#039;m saying they were authorities on the subject, but it seems to be a subject most people don%26#039;t bring up much at all. Anyway especially in a deep emotional %26amp; permanent consideration of not changing one%26#039;s mind about it. Of course in abusive relationships, overextended neglect for career %26amp; materialistic reasons %26amp; continuous/continual cheating situations, exploitation situations, there are exceptions to be committed anymore or continuing a relationship anymore, but without situations like those in the picture, how do you feel about monogamy %26amp; commitment? I%26#039;d like to see people%26#039;s opinions or choices regarding that. |||Obviously it%26#039;s not a fact, just a theory, but some biologists believe that monogamy is unnatural. They claim people aren%26#039;t designed to spend a life time with one person, that it%26#039;s natural to change partners every seven to ten years. But that%26#039;s only a theory.
Years ago, people were socially forced to practice monogamy or they%26#039;d be frowned upon. In the 1940s, if a couple divorced it%26#039;d be seen as a great shame, whereas today it hardly matters and lots more people cheat. People still had the same relationship problems years ago, they just reacted to them differently because of the way their
society was.
Today, it%26#039;s far more casual - there%26#039;s less pressure to commit yourself. But some people do commit and are happy, others don%26#039;t (flit from partner to partner, maybe cheat) and they%26#039;re generally less happy. I think it%26#039;s the security issue, people have always craved security through all the ages. Even people in tribes in the Amazon or Australia have life long relationships.
My guess is that monogamy is a personal choice. Lots of people meet someone they love more than anyone else before, and say %26#039;right, i want to spend my life with you, then we%26#039;ll always have each-other%26#039;. Sometimes it works, the couple do love each-other all their life. Other times it fizzles out. Then some people aren%26#039;t interested in finding a soul mate, they%26#039;re just happy to have relationships what come and go. Most people seem to want a soulmate, though. It%26#039;s just a lifestyle choice.

In relationships, I usually look for fun, I%26#039;m not the serious, romantic type of people, I want to have a good time, that%26#039;s all!!
I usually freak out when a guy wants to get really serious already from now, I mean, dude, we%26#039;re not supposed to get married now!!
I think some people can stay together for their whole lives without cheating, it%26#039;s not necessary to be real love, they may have great respect to each other!!
Also, If you%26#039;re sure that the one you%26#039;re going to marry is your love, then why cheat on each other after a long time! Love wears out! I don%26#039;t believe that someone may love someone for the whole of their lives, it just seems too good to be true, besides, the couple in love usually have a lot of fights!!
Anyways, referring to myself, when I grow up, find a real true love then I%26#039;ll definitely hold on to it without hesitations or second thoughts! I%26#039;ll never cheat on him, If i love him that much! I can be really loyal so if i find someone who is ready to stay by my side for the rest of our lives then why not?!
Honestly, It somewhat seems too hard to stick to one person for the rest of your life, it seems awkward and boring!
Nonetheless, as I said, If I ever find a real true love, I%26#039;ll hold on to it and never let go, again it sounds impossible!
